Biography

     Fr. Jim Worth was born and raised in Ventnor City, New Jersey, a small town right outside of Atlantic City. He has three sisters and two brothers and fifteen neices and nephews. His mother and father are home with the Lord, however their inspirational presence continues to be the wind in his sails. His family and friends are a constant source of strength and support.   
   He entered the College Seminary of Seton Hall University at Saint Andrew's Hall in South Orange, New Jersey where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies with minors in Philosophy and Music in 1997. He then entered Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall University where he earned his Master of Divinty in Pastoral Ministry and his Master of Arts in Systematic Theology. He was ordained a priest on Saturday, May 26th, 2001 at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, New Jersey on the Feast Day of Saint Philip Neri, the patron saint of christian joy.
    Prior to entering the Seminary, Fr. Jim worked in parishes throughout the state of New Jersey in various capacities such as, Coordinator of Religious Education, Cantor, Organist, Choir Director and Music & Art Teacher. He is also a graphic designer, artist and composer, grief counselor, as well as a presenter of Musical Meditations. His love of God and of music has been a steady well spring of motivation and inspiration on his exciting journey.
